Part 2 (South Africa)
Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Safari Oct 6 - Oct 16
Friday, Oct 6 - Departure from US or Cairo
Saturday, Oct 7 - Arrive in Johannesburg, South Africa and Transfer to Hotel. We will be staying in the Garden Court Sandton City. Due to this day being a long travel day and the varying schedules of arriving guests there is nothing formally planned for this day. However this is our only night in Jo Berg and we specifically planned for it to be a weekend night. We will be outdoors. (not included and optional)
Sunday, Oct 8 - Full Day Soweto Tour and a Tour of the Apartheid Museum. It will be approximately 8 hours and we will have lunch at Wandies. (The food is included for lunch but not the beverages.) Once the tours are over we will go to the airport and fly to Cape Town (2:15 Flight) and check into the Sunsquare City Bowl Hotel. We will spend 5 nights at this hotel. Events are planned for the day, night time activities are open to spend how you please.
Monday, Oct 9 - Morning will be at your leisure since the night before will have been a late night flying and checking in. Midday we will have a 4 hour orientation tour of the city and spend sunset on Table Mountain (weather permitting).
Tuesday, Oct 10 - In the morning we will take a ferry to Robben Island for a tour. This will be approx. 4 hours and the rest of the day is yours to do as you please. This will be the only day time you have to yourselves in Cape Town so use it wisely.
Wednesday, Oct 11 - We will go on a Cape Peninsula Tour, this is a full day tour that includes Cape Point, Penguin Beach, Kirstenbosch Gardens and more.
Thursday, Oct 12 - We will go on a full day tour to the historic region and wine country. We will have wine tastings at Fairview and Seven Sisters Winery. Cheese platter and snack lunch will be included. This will be out last night in Cape Town.
Friday, Oct 13 - We will take a morning flying to the Greater Kruger Region (2:30 flight) arriving shortly after 1 PM. After a 45 min drive we will check into the Thornybush Lodge and will spend the rest of the day on Safari drives and walks. A late Lunch (when we arrive to Thornybush) and Dinner is included this day.
Saturday, Oct 14 - Safari Activities
Sunday, Oct 15 - We will fly to Johannesburg in the morning, it will be about a 45 min flight landing shortly after one. From there you will fly back to the US. Please check with Q before purchasing your return flight if you do not purchase it through us. Thank you.
Monday, Oct 16 - Arrive home.
