Part 1 (Egypt) 

Cairo and Luxor - Oct 1 - Oct 6, 2023

Sunday, Oct 1 - Departure from US

Monday, Oct 2 - Arrive in Cairo and Transfer to Hotel, we will be staying at the Marriott Mena House. Due to long travel and varying arrival dates nothing is formally planned for this day. Informally, this is my birthday. SOMETHING will happen this day.

Tuesday, Oct 3 - Visit the Pyramids and The Sphinx, the Papyrus Factor, Old City, and Bazaar. This is Laury's birthday expect something to happen this night as well (birthday activities optional and not included in pricing)

Wednesday, Oct 4 - We will fly to Luxor (1 hr flight) and visit the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Hatsheput, Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Karnak. In the evening we will enjoy a sound and light show. We will be staying in the Sonesta St. Georges Hotel in Luxor.

Thursday, Oct 5 - We will visit the Hathor Temple in Denderah, and the Temples of Luxor. Again staying at the Sonesta St. Georges Hotel.

Friday, Oct 6 - VERY BUSY DAY - In the morning we will fly BACK to Cairo. We will visit the Egyptian Museum, enjoy a farewell dinner with entertainment (included) and then go to the airport. Our flight to South Africa will leave at 11:50 PM and will be an overnight flight.
